About

I like the parts of a system nobody sees until they break, and I like being the person who decides how they behave.

Most of my six years at Microsoft went to the platform underneath Xbox services. A small team of us owned it end to end — ingress, CI/CD, logging and telemetry, autoscaling — which meant the decisions were ours and so was the pager. Before that I built C#/.NET services for console streaming and shipped Remote Play to GA, so I have shipped product as well as run the ground it stands on.

The work I am proudest of tends to be unglamorous. Moving fleet logging off fluentd freed ~219.5 CPU cores. Replacing standing access with just-in-time elevation made the platform quieter and duller to operate. Neither of those makes a good screenshot.

These days a lot of my work runs through coding agents — I publish an MCP server, I build the harnesses my own work depends on, and I care about the next engineer's day enough to keep doing it. I am on endpoint security at Microsoft now.
